Alpha Software Express announces an upgraded version of its generalized, Java based License Manager.

Java License Manager is a simple application, designed to provide the Java developer with an inexpensive method to license software. It consists of a LicenseMe class, which can operate in batch, or as a GUI, depending upon the arguments provided at startup. The user can create a temporary, or permanent, license key file for a specific product, customer and application version. License verification is accomplished by telling the license facility to verify a specified key file. If the key file is a valid license the authorized product, user and issued version are made available to the calling application.

While this product is intended for Java developers, it can also be used by software developers implementing their products in other languages. So long as the end user's platform supports the Java Virtual Machine, license validation can be accomplished using the CLI method.

Java License Manager itself, can be either licensed or unlicensed. The unlicensed edition generates valid licenses, but they are encrypted with a zero seed key and are not guaranteed to be unique. That is, other unlicensed users of Java License Manager could also generate valid licenses for your product if they knew your product's name. This edition is only $15 and recommended for inexpensive products where the likelihood of such counterfeiting is low.

With the licensed edition of Java License Manager, all parts of the generated licenses are encrypted by a unique, custom seed key, assigned by us and not guess able by others, so licenses created by it are always reliable and unique. The cost for this edition is just $39.
